Description
Map of the world by Henry Roberts on the discoveries by Captain Cook. Note the much greater accuracy in general versus the sixteen and seventeenth century world maps. Particularly, the East Indies, Far East, Pacific Islands, Australia, and the western coastline of the Americas have been much improved over the previous world maps. Still, the far northern regions of the world near the north poles (Russia and Canada) are inaccurate though.
