Description
This is a drawing of a cannon aboard a naval vessel, specifically 36-pounder cannon. This particular weapons began appearing on French ships in the late 17th century. However, this trend was not just applicable to the French navy, but navies belonging to most powerful European navies. The first heavy cannons began appearing on ships in the 15th century, from which developments were continually made.
